Swimming, Sweats, Scary Movies, Saturday
This Saturday I was lucky enough to have my family in town. It really turned out to be a miracle considering my cousin decided to get married the same weekend that my sister Kate and her fam would be in the area and that it was my nephew's seventh birthday! I'm basically in love with my little men! If I had pictures of our swimming adventures you had better believe they would be posted, but it wasn't my camera and I really don't care enough to put worth effort to get them from my sister. We had a blast though! I had an evaluation to write, a test to study for, and a chapter to read, but I definitely was not going to pass up fun for homework. This semester has been a real trial for me in the homework department. Even as I type this I have a test that I need to study for. On my behalf, though, I'm anxiously awaiting a text to find where my group is meeting to study.
After bidding farewell to my wonderful familia, Mariah and I decided we probably needed to be social and so we threw together a "Sweats and Scary Movie" party. Two people showed up. We call that an epic fail! Nevertheless, we had a pretty sweet time together getting sick off of popcorn, muddy buddies, and rice krispy treats. I think I could do Saturdays like that more often.

Friday in San Antonio
I've become grossly aware that I have no friends. No, no, I'm not looking for pity. I don't want any sympathy texts or appalled gasps. This is life. You see, I have tons of acquaintances. I run around town and can almost always find a familiar face to exchange a hello with, but I don't have anyone (with the exception of my roommates) that will call me up on the weekends to go do crazy fun things. It's okay. I'm getting used to it. I always find myself feeling like a loner at the beginning of the semester. Anyway, things will change once the semester settles down. The moral of this story is that I've become a mooch. I mooch friends off of my roommates, which, bless their hearts, means I tag along on their fun adventures. This weekend we drove to a little town called Saint Anthony, or "San Antonio" if you served your mission in Mexico! Bowling with the whole place to ourselves? Well, don't mind if we do!
We got some AWESOME bowling shoes to wear. Unlike the kind given out at more ritzy establishments, these make you look like a genuine clown.
We are so cute. I'm wearing purple pants
Mariah and I! Roommates for life!

Chapter 66- Mi amiga
Although my sister hacked my blog (grr) or maybe I left it open on my computer (dumb) NEVERTHELESS, everything she said is true... especially the part about her smelling cool.
Also, she's going on a mission.
When she first told me that she was going to serve the Lord for 18 months as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I was heartbroken. She and I are very very, and let me emphasize that, VERY different people but I just love her. My mom says that she wishes she could have stuck us in a bag together when we were little and shaken us up so that we wouldn't be so opposite, but come on, that's what makes things exciting! Whereas I'm disorganized and crazy, Amanda is a tip top perfectionist who's completely in touch with her emotions. It makes things difficult at times to say the least, but I love her more often than I don't (that's a joke, I always love her) and even though we drive each other crazy we're crazy for each other.
Now I am SO ecstatic for her to serve! She quite possibly has one of the strongest testimonies I've ever seen and she lets that light shine to everyone. Amanda is so sensitive to the Spirit! Starting on July 5th, she will be sharing herself, yes not just her testimony but her whole person, with the people of Lubbock, Texas. They had better count their lucky stars because she's going to be sorely missed. Sorely. Missed. As in, I'm probably just going to run around punching people whenever I'm feeling sad without her and then they are going to be sore because she's missed. Get it? Anyway, it's going to be a long, but wonderful eighteen months without her and I really do just love this insane woman.

Chapter 65- Beginning of Semester Ponderings
What is one thing that is holding me back from reaching my full capacity as a student, friend, sister, daughter, nurse, roommate, etc?
What is something I need to change so that I can fulfill my academic and spiritual potential?
